Hydrogen for heat
The Energy White Paper, Powering our Net Zero Future (CP 337), published in December 2020 by HM Government, defines hydrogen for heat as: ‘The combustion of hydrogen produces no long-lived greenhouse gas emissions at point of use, making it a possible low-carbon replacement for natural gas as a fuel source for heating homes and other buildings.’
